What Is Electrical Product Certification All About? Product certification isn’t just a box to tick—it’s about keeping consumers safe, avoiding risks, and showing that your brand takes quality seriously. If you’re selling in Australia, these are the three major certifications that matter.
If your product connects to mains power and is sold in Australia or New Zealand, you’ll almost certainly need the RCM. It confirms your product meets key regulatory requirements—covering electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and other standards.
